Pair of antique architectural salvage bronze doorknob backplates with japanned finish each measuring approximately 2 1/2" x 7 3/8" with a 5/8" diameter collar. This Lexington Colonial backplate was made by Russell and Erwin in 1899. However Yale and Towne also made a version of this style. Y&T was bought out by Barrows Lock Company who continued to produce this as Erie Design through the early 1920's. Marked P6260. Priced at $125 for the pair.
